FTP/ WebDAV support

Since FTP-support for direct download links has been completely removed from most browsers, due to the unencrypted nature of the FTP protocol, all our record sets will be hosted on a public Nextcloud instance here:

WebDAV credentials

FTP credentials

You may still use a dedicated FTP-client (like FileZilla↗ or Cyberduck↗) and search a given file by its file name directly on our FTP, but the server will be shut down by summer 2024. Please make sure to update any scripts accordingly.

search packages/ record sets

The search supports regular expressions.
For example you can search for multiple collection_ids, separated by pipe (i.e. “|”), e.g.

978-3-11-070468-6|978-3-11-063621-5|IFLA-B|EBA_CL_LB

download manually

download via right click, then save as

download via script

For a scripting solution the direct download-URLs would be as follows:

  • for MARC record sets: https://we-share.degruyter.com/index.php/s/NoEDzZ97eHjGfcH/download?path=%2FMARC-Sets&files=$filename
  • for KBART files: https://we-share.degruyter.com/index.php/s/NoEDzZ97eHjGfcH/download?path=%2FKBART&files=$filename

Please note that only “available” titles are included in the MARC or KBART sets, and so a front list package might not yet be complete at this point.

Knowledge base and discovery services

At De Gruyter we do collaborate with almost all Abstracting & indexing (A&I) services and are constantly expanding our database provision for the benefit of our readers.
A&I services get daily feeds of JATS- and BITS-XML. For more details visit: ABSTRACTING & INDEXING

Discovery services are tools for libraries that allow searching across a wide range of content. Libraries around the world use them to help their patrons find the literature they are looking for.
We are in close contact to set up new collections as soon as possible, and the respective MARC updates are being provided on a monthly and our KBART updates on a bi-weekly basis, i.e. the very same data that you will find provided above - if it is listed here, our partners have the data as well.
For more details visit: DE GRUYTER’S DISCOVERY SERVICE PARTNERS

Knowledge base suppliers ingest the data into their KBs, and libraries then select the packages and titles that they have access to.
Libraries can also use KBART to create files for custom or consortial packages and load them into their local knowledge bases.

Some services do provide their own collection overviews, which can be consulted below, and please do not hesitate to contact your service provider directly, which will help prioritizing the creation or set-up of new or missing collections/ targets, should you find that your collection is absent in your KB.

ProQuest/ ExLibris, Alma et al.

As CDI serves several KB products (SFX, Alma, 360), the names of collections that institutions can activate and appear in the Activation Source field and in the Collection Facet, may sometimes have differences in the names.
For a full list of Providers’ collections that are available in CDI, please see the following articles for your link resolver:

OCLC

New De Gruyter titles and collections are added to the WorldCat knowledge base every month. OCLC updates a list of collections available monthly. Use the list to find DG collections and other details:
